How does Celes absorb magic with Runic?

She simply uses a Sword (must be a sword!) to absorb the next magic attact aimed at her. As simple as that.

Actually it's the next magic attack. Period. If Celes uses Runic, don't cast a spell with anybody else until her next turn because she'll just absorb it.

I believe the ability can only be used with certain swords. The ones with "rune" in the name obviously do work. It does not work with Atma weapon. I'm not sure which are compatible and which aren't.

swords with the graphic of the regal cutlass. Basically, one-handed blades.

If you go to item menu where it has it's stats and stuff it has runic and/or swrdtech. if it doesn't then she can use it but can't use runic. same with cuan and swrdtech
