WHenever i load up the rom the entrance video and everything play finr but when i start to enter the first battle like when the screen sworls it freezes. Ive messed with the video and even enabled the f7 fix that came ith epsxe 1.5.2 i am lost can someone help.

FFIX Disc 1 ISO kept messin' up on the FMV where they take off on the cargo ship. I tried several graphical plugins in ePSXe, but they didn't work, so I got a different emu (can't remember what it's called) to get past that one scene, then went back to ePSXe. No problems since.
Moral of the story, try a different emulator :)
