FF2 Bestiary

I have started a new game in FF2 a few days ago so I could get the complete bestiary. I noticed when looking in my bestiary list and into some FAQs on the internet I have missed the Gigan Toad. They say it should be in Deist cavern but I have been running around for hours there and can't find it. I have already finished the Mysidia tower so the enemies on the map have changed. Did I miss it or can I still find it somewhere?

Can't say they appear in the Deist Cavern. You should have tried the Paramekia Desert, or the Western cost of Paramekia itself, south-east of where the Jade Passage appears on the tip of that penninsula.
