I've heard a lot of bad things about the Nano. Apparantly the extremely thin faceplate cracks and breaks very easily and iPod will NOT replace them, warranty or not.

I have a Mini, and it's worked extremely well for me. I love it, havent had a single problem.

Aside from the Nano, they're all pretty much the same, just differences in size and color, so that has to do with your personal preferences.

The nano is crap I heard, the mini is nice, but I'd just go with the normal 20GB one, colour or not. I have that (except without colour) and it's great. :)

But it really depends on how much you listen to music. If you listen to music a lot, go for a big iPod or a Rio. If not, go for a iPod mini or one of the small Rios.

Since getting an ipod in July I must have left the house without it like, 9 times. As I understood it an ipod is an mp3 player.

I would suggest shopping around. I've found many places to overcharge just because it's an iPod and people will shell out stupid amounts of money for them. Also, look into other brands. Some brands offer the same level of quality at a fraction of the price.

An iPod plays mp3s, but it's different from most mp3 players.

If you're going to get an mp3 player, make sure you get a rechargable one. iPods are expensive, but you save loads on battery replacement costs.

I don't like it. iPods, MP3 players, personal CD players or even walkmans. People should just carry about record players and bags of vinyls. And with huge big headphones, like the ones that they used to use for sonar.

I'd say let's go back to the big boom-boxes they had in the 80s, the ones people used to carry around on their shoulders. Can't beat the good ol' days. :D
