I am currently still on disc one of FF VII, I have got to the Forgotton City (Mushroom shpaed place) and made my way to the shell at the top (an picked up the comet materia), I know the next step should be to go down the 'blue stairs' somewhere in the shell to the lower city, but I can't find them.
Any ideas where they are or what I am doing wrong?????

The blue stairs is not like totally visible, its half invisible in the middle. It's located at the cliff around the gold fish

Thanks, for that, the cliff goes all the way round the fish, and I have tried the 'action' button whislt walking round most of the shell is there a particular place I need to be standing to find the stairs?
Let's see... Did you go straight into the forgotten capital (middle road)? Exit the the capital and go right or left besides going straight into the forgotten capital.
Did you sleep in the seashell house on the far right of the city?
The pathway is only open in the middle of the night!
