if you didnt know who Django is its Neo-Red XIII.

I think the gray wolf is a representation of Cloud's lone-wolf nature. At the end of the film it disappears and cloud confesses "I'm not alone."

A lot of people seem to think it could be the spirit of Zack, however.

Django? WTF? That was never mentioned in FF7!

Notice it appears in places where he's failed people. Aerith's grave, Zack's grave, over Tifa's prone and beaten figure, etc.

He sure has failed a lot of people.
