that battle ruled
Toss-up between FF8, and FF2, Origins. I'll go with 8.
i chose 10. it gets you straight into the action and has cool music! a big plus! :p
Liberi Fatali is love.
Definately X. I've only beaten the game twice, but I must have started it over a hundred times just to watch the intro.

I'm giving it to FF6. FF8 is a close second, but I just loved the opening credits in 6 with them walking toward Narshe and the music that played.
FFVIII, without a doubt one of the best introductory sequences I've ever seen.
Final Fantasy II had the greatest first battle (a forced loss), and the remake's intro FMV could not have been any better. Anyone who disagrees with me voluntarily admits to not being l337.
chaos: Agreed. Liberi Fatali is a plus to an already great opening FMV. :DQuote:

However, I think plot-wise the intro to Final Fantasy Tactics is wonderful, especially since it throws you right into a rather involved plot right from the beginning.
