I know it's been done before quite often in the past, although I have no clue if they still do that or not.
There's probably some kind of law nowadays against it
They don't work.
There's no laws against it because it doesn't work.
They can only make you feel more hungry or thursty if you already were in the first place, no different from a normal ad.
In the theaters where I live their have coke and popcorn on the trivia screens.
From what I've learned in my Psych class, they don't work. It's a shame, since thats one less thing for me to be pissed about.
There illegal now, I think.
What? Subliminal? They're not subliminal at all, they're right there saying "GO TO THE CONCESSION STAND OR YOU WILL DIE OF HUNGER AND FEAR!" for like 15 seconds at a time.
I think there could be, but I don't see how it work that much.
My mother thinks there's subliminal messaging in Spongebob, and thats why me and her watch it :p
It reminds me of Family Guy, where there is the advert and a man flashes up on the screen every so often and says "Smoke!" XD
I remember at the start of Spy Kids 3d this guy came on the screen and started telling us that during the intermission we were going to buy a medium coke and a Large popcorn. It was kinda weird xD
So your saying if they flashed a toilet up on the screen, there'd be a 3 mile long line to the toilets at the intermission? ;)
No because subliminal messages dont work because of the reason that
any information given in subliminal messages would be stored in short term memory, which ranges from 10 seconds to a minute or so. If a message does have any effect it is that by the time you unconsicously decide to act on it your mind will have forgotten everything about what was being advertised and you will probably do something completely different
Let's go out to the lobby!Quote:
