I cant play any pc games. i was playing them the other day, now, whenever i try to play i game i click on the .exe to run it and it comes up with the sand timer and just goes off, no error report or anything. my pc hasnt been hit, dropped or damaged in any way, i havn't or anyone else hasn't changed any file settings, so i dunno wots wrong with it. anyone help? probably not.....:(
Was it working today before it started doing this?
Make sure you are running up-to-date virus scanning software. Run a complete scan of all the files on your computer.
Get Adaware or Spybot S&D and scan for any spyware programs that could be hogging system resources or interefering with normal computer operation.
After that, try reinstalling the affected games.
my anti virus sofware is fully up to date and ive scanned all files for virus' and spyware,
ive reinstalled the games that were not working. the only game that would work was Oni for some reason. i installed hitman 2 and when i run the game it says.
"Fatal Error.Direct3D.Cannot create device.Try changing resolution or colour depth."
I tried all possible ways but it still did not work. :( :( :(
Maybe something to do with your DirectX, maybe thats out of date. Just google it and you'll find it.
:) i fixed it. i googled it and it said something about typing DXDIAG in run to open up the directx diagnosis, so i did it and the Direct3D was disabled so i enabled it, then i ran hitman 2 and it worked! thanks everyone for helping :)
