I would just keep checking on eBay. They usually have the ones with just the cartridge for around 50$. If your looking for a complete version of the game, good luck. I actually saw a complete version of Chrono Trigger on ebay for 60$ but sadly I didn't have the money.
I got the disk (PS1) on amazon for about $15 with FFIV in FFC.
The price at the moment is $14 for FFC and $50 for the NES version.
Final Fantasy Chronicles is definitely your best bet for finding it at a reasonable price.
