Create gear?

how do you create your own gear? :S i saw this just now..

Creating gear is a craft, just like any other craft. In order to make robes, tunics, etc, you would need to level up Cloth craft. In order to make things like that Scorpion Ring, you would need to get your Bone craft level to at least 60.

I think by 'creating' he could also mean signing your own gear, which requires Crafting, but a special kind of crystal. Said crystals can only be bought with GP (Guild Points) which can only be obtained when you reach Initiate status in a guild.

No its Novice hence level 28 minimum in a craft, and only if you arent already contracted with another guild.
