Creative Zen Touch Installation trouble

Okay, I've recently gotten a new computer, and I obviously want to be able to use it to upload music onto my Zen Touch. Problem: I can't find the Zen installation CD. I tried downloading the required software off the Creative website, but whenever I try to install it, it keeps telling me my MP3 player isn't connected. But it is. I tried installing the "PlayForSure" firmware update, but, again, it says my MP3 player isn't connected. I've tried searching for drivers, and even tried Creative's auto-update feature, but it still can't detect that my Zen Touch is connected. Any advice?

Have you tried plugging anything else into your USB ports?

Yeah, I've got my wireless mouse plugged into one, and I've tried the MP3 player cord in two of the other ones, both of which I've used for my external HDD with no trouble. When I unplug the MP3 player USB cord the computer makes a little "bing," so I assume that means it knows it's there.
