I don't expect the most popular songs, I just hope to hear the obscure songs that I love.
When i saw wishbone ash live the second time they didnt play one of their biggest songs "throw down the sword" which has been a staple song on all their tours for 30 years :choc:
Playing just the singles, over and over again, will get boring for the bands.
I do get dissapointed, specially if the song has personal meaning for me.
You have to give them some credit, since usually the songs people want to hear the most are the ones that they have to play over and over. They must get sick of it eventually. I know that Kurt Kobain used to completely mess up "Smells like Teen Spirit" in Nirvana's later years due to his hatred of the song, but then again KK was a bit of an ass-hat at times.
Aye, tis dissapointing if they miss a fave. I caught Clutch on Wednesday and they missed out three of my favourite songs. They played fantastically, and it was an outstanding gig, I was just a bit dissapointed I didn't see my favourites live.
I havn't heard The Rasmus live yet, but I plan to next time they come to Manchester.
But from what Ive heard about them live recently is that they don't play one of my favourite songs. The reason is because Apocalyptica play cello's in the song also, but they arn't at the concert, obviously?
That song is so awesome! :(
when i saw Iron Maiden they played one of my Favorite songs "revelations" which they hadnt played for many years :choc:
I think there must be some military backstory that I am unfamiliar with.
I've still never heard Sulk live. :\Quote:

I will, however, be disappointed if my favourites are left out of the setlist, like when I saw Interpol and they left out Specialist and Stella was a Diver and she was always down. The sad thing is, they played them both the very next night. :(
I went to a U2 concert, they did so many encores they covered pretty much every decent song they ever did.
unless i went to a slayer concert and didn't hear angel of death...i wouldn't be dissapointed
