I haven't progessed that much in ff4 because I sorta got bored of it (but I did like game) and yeah....
when they get petrified you can press x on them and it will show you all your items to use on them possibly because you CAN heal them.
so my question is:
CAN THEY BE CURED???
yes, and then they can revive Aeris.

No. The item window only opens so you can try to use Golden Needles on them and get the "They're petrified of their own will" message.

If you are playing FFIV Advance, you will be able to get them back after visiting the moon.
I believe much later in the game that (SPOILER) the Mysidian Elder cures them of their petrification, and you see them on one of the airships that attacks the Giant of Babel.
Which defeats the purpose of self-sacrifice for a greater cause, rendering anything you felt for their death pointless.
Chalk one more up on the "I killed them and brought them back on a whim" board.
That seems to be a reoccuring theme in FF4. I can think of...seven characters who at some point are supposed to be dead but aren't really.Quote:
