European PS2 and American PS2

Can I play a European PS2 game on my American PS2?

Short answer: no.

Long answer: you can if you're ready to open your ps2. You also need a TV that is PAL capable.

Not to mention a converter to turn 110V into 240V which British electronics run on (the mains is at 240V)

No, he wouldn't need to convert any volages to use his american PS2 in America.

Another question. Does the memory card matter at all? Like will a memory card that I bought in America work on a European PS2?
