Now this guy is amazing, my dad is a massive fan of him, I never took the time to listen to Dio before but he sounds absolutely excellent, Black Sabbath were great with him but his own band Dio was absolute ownage.

Rainbow in the dark is such a cool song.

Didnt Dio release another album recently?

I dunno, the whole Holy Diver album rocks though, my dad will faint once I tell him I'm into Dio aswell now.

I have a real love of cheesy over-the-top hair rock, even though I wouldn't buy any albums along those lines. I will say that Dio is pretty much the inspiration for Tenacious D. Listen to any Dio song and tell me you can't imagine Jack Black singing it.

I love the lyrics, they are so Cheesey... but he has such an awesome metal voice that he makes it work.

His Lyrics rock! Just because it aint about whores, slavery, death and murder like most metal bands doesn't mean they suck, they're similar to the style of Blackmore, Alice Cooper and Led Zeppelin. I'm listening to the Magica album at the moment.
