I've just recently been getting into this band, and I have to say they're amazing! :D ^______^
I'm glad I found them, as I was brought up on the likes of Rush, Genesis and Pink Floyd so the band's a kind of perfect styling for me... and HAY there's nothing wrong with 40-minute songs. :tongue:
I've been listening to "Six Degrees..." mostly, and just latelydownloadedbought their entire discography (aside from their latest).
Anyone else into them? ^__^
They're quite fun. Some nice heavy riffs and some catchy choruses, but they're not a band I'm heavily into at the moment. The solos get a bit samey, but they technicality helps make up for it. Good band.
Good musicians. Horrible music writers.
They have about two to five songs that are not vehicles for solos. The ones that are not solo carriers are typically good, the other songs are smurfing boring and useless.
Also, WTF @ heavy riffs.
Not a big fan of them.
I gave them a shot, and I felt most of their stuff was alright. The only album I really liked so far was "Train of Thought".
Not really my style, but they have some of the prettiest CD covers ever!
I like "Disappear." That's all I've got.
