You can either...
Go to a town in the upper far left of the map to do a quick sidequest (get yourself a new summon :))
Or you go back to the library of ancients and break the bad news to mid and cid about sinking their fire ship :D

to be more specific about that side quest. you have to go to the large forest to the east of the town and fight ramuh to get him a summon. he has 4000 HP but isnt too strong so you are probbably strong enough to fight him.
