It was announced a while ago.
It's not so much that they are making a movie that annoys me (the Family Guy movie was pretty funny), it's that it's going to bebecause the new writers suck.
Seriously, they should have done this years ago; when the script was still decent and while people still actually watched the show.
It's going to be awful. That's all.

Ive heard of this for a month or so, personally I think they should just stick to the series, but its still the simpsons, and being a movie, They would more than likely cram as much humor into it than a normal episode. Hell, This is going to be great....

Agreed, I barely watch it now. The older episodes with the crappy animation rocked IMO. The stories just got too OTT and unrealstic.Quote:

This has been known for AGES. They planned to make and release one when they finish simpsons, go out with a bang. Its being written by the original writers of the Simpsons. should be good.
I agree with all of you that the Simpsons old writers were superior, the Old episodes were great. But I still get giggles out of the new episodes.
And Wuggly Blight is right, they have pulled some of the old writers to do some work on the Movie, so it should be good.
If they just show the highlights of Series three to six then that'd satisfy me.
Watching The Simpons for two hours!!!
