I was just thinking. After leaving FH, Selphie can't join your adventuring party because she's "tired"... but the next plot step is going to Balamb where Selphie can suddenly tag along anyway. The only thing you can do inbetween those two events is some side-quests which are available after freeing Balamb anyway.
Kinda pointless.
That is strange. Isn't it because you could end up taking up missions if you leave the Garden (she is SeeD too after all).
I think Selphie can't join the party, because if she wasn't tired you could visit with her the next event with Trabia Garden, but that should happen after you free Balamb from Raijin and Fujin.
