Why Sleep Barefooted?

I was just wondering to myself why we sleep barefooted, is it nescesarry, is there a reason? :confused:

I don't, I wear socks. If I don't my feet stick out the bottom of my bed and get cold.

I don't find it to be particularly comfortable wearing shoes underneath a few layers of covers, myself.

I generally don't wear socks, either, but that's because they tend to drive me nuts in bed.

Somtimes I wear socks and sometimes I don't. Depends on if I feel like taking them off before I lay down or not.

If I have socks on while I sleep they really irritate me, so I sleep barefooted. That's my reason, anyway. Infact when I'm at home and I don't have guests/shoes on then I never really do wear socks. :jess:

I wear socks in bed, I don't care how unsexy it is! I want my feet to be cosy when I sleep.

I don't. It's a comfort thing.

I don't like wearing shoes to begin with..Why would I want to wear them to bed?..

Socks are really uncomfortable for me. My toes feel trapped! :( So, I go to bed barefooted, and even if I don't take them off, I wake up in the morning and they're off anyway. xD

I like having cold feet, so yeah no socks for me plus it feel weird too.

Sometimes I wear socks, other times I don't. What usually happens is that I'll wear them, and then end up taking them off after a few hours or so. But my feet get really cold without them so I try to keep them on the whole night.

I try to sleep with socks on and they keep falling off and eventually Ij ust yank them off.

If I wear shoes while sleeping my feet are weighted down and I can't toss and turn comfortably.

I sleep usually without my socks, I just like the feeling of conguring the cold throughout my body as I snuggle into a bundle of blankets. I like to be cold and to need my blankets , I don't know why Im wierd like that. I would sleep naked...but Im not the only one in the house, and well if I locked the door for privacy , if there was a fire....I might burn to death....:rolleyes2

Except in the summer, then I go barefoot.

I come in so late at night I just sleep in my shoes.

I sleep at my kitchen table often, I always eat a late snack and sometimes I doze off.

I usually kick my shoes off in the middle of the night though.
