Go edit your registry and you can get a pseudo AA going.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/PlayOnlineUS/SquareEnix/FinalFantasyXI

Set 0000 to somwhere between 1 and 6 for some pseudo AA. 6 doesn't both me but some people find it too fuzy. I think the most popular is 4. If you have an absolutely godly machine you can crank up a lot of other things. The most noticable is the background res.

Change 0003 and 0004 to 800 for sickeningly nice results but you have to beware the lag unless your computer is really nice.

As far as I know, the default AA setting in FFXI is 2x. So you should already have antialiasing on.
