Zack was Aerith's boyfriend. He was Soldier First Class. He taught Cloud a variation of Omnislash. Zack was a ladies man as all evidence points to. Thats the basics.

He's from Gongaga, and he was a really nice guy. That, along with what Ballistix said is pretty much all there is.

You can actually learn a little more about what kinda person he was in the anime Final Fantasy VII: Last Order ^_^ It came out in Japan with Advent Children but I don't think it's coming to America. Zack was pretty awesome and was insane in battle ^^
