I was forbidden from using wikipedia for my junior paper.

silly edits won't last too long since it can take as little as a minute for the edit to be deleted. So much for that joke

I use wikipedia for all my research (but not as my only source)

I just finished a report on President Nixon, and I have to say the Wikipedia was very helpful. Saved me from having to dig my actual encyclopedias out of my shed. :)

I usually don't look for "funny" edits though.
