Either Doom 3 or the original Doom.
I loved Doom 1, thought Doom 2 was ok, haven't played Final Doom or Doom 3 yet
The original was really special because it really took first person shooters in a new direction, and to a new level. However, I am inclined to say Doom 3 is the best game in the series because in my opinion the original hasn't aged incredibly well. It's still playable, but I'd be much quicker to play through Doom 3's lenghty single player mode again. It's scary, fun as hell, and just all around a well executed great game. Man, I feel like playing it again right now.
Final Doom is my personal favourite.
I havent played Doom 3 yet though.
I'll BFG 9000 your ass anyday! The game was cool, one of the only shooters I liked.
