Do you consider yourself to be a helpful person? For me, I guess it depends on the situation at hand. I'm not very helpful when it comes to personal problems, but I do however think that I am helpful when it coems to liability issues. Honesty and truth are very important to me, and I don't like being put in middle of awkward situations -- that is when I am not very helpful. I don't like being forced into situations, and then expected to be helpful, but I'd rather take it as it comes. Ok, enough of my babbling. Do you consider yourself to be a helpful person?

I'm pretty helpful, I enjoy helping people. It's not always possible though. All my friends come to me for advice on each other but sometimes situations seem impossible. Imagine this (different names used though) Becca has a bf but someone else likes her. She doesn't know this, but you do. He doesn't want her to know but one day she asks you if he does but doesn't want you to tell him she guessed. What can you do there?!? You can't tell either whats going on but you can't change the subject without letting them know something is going on. Hard times, xD!!

I try. But only if I feel it's appreciated on some level or another (Helping someone in need through a tough time? Sure. Giving money to some panhandler? not likely. Sorry. Maybe I'm callous, but that's me.)

With friends, I usually want to help because it feels good to be helpful every once in a while. But overally I'm not a very helpful person at all. In fact, I'll probably often go out of my way to get myself out of awkward situations just so I don't have to be uncomfortable and help someone do something.

If they deserve help and it benefits me in some way, then yes.
