Don't fool yourself-- just because they've posted pictures doesn't mean it's coming out next year.
There is 3 Final Fantasy XIII games announced, it's Fabula Nova Crystallis "The new tale of the crystal" (like Final Fantasy VII compilation) so XIII is not the last game.

-Final Fantasy Agito XIII
There is another game but we don't know much about it, we don't even know on which platform it will be on. The only thing we know is its name, Final Fantasy Haeresis XIII.
this FF is like FFX(stepped all over IX), it's inteded to step all over FFXII.

I think they completed FFXIII before FFXII(due to many complications)
FFXII was supposed to be released long ago...
two months earlier, I heard they were 80% completed with FFXIII!
If I had to guess, it will get delayed and wont come out til 2009.
Gotta keep the ball rollin'. Companies generally start the next game in a series before releasing the one before, don't they?
