I totally forgot about his role in the FFIX world. He is the protector of the Burmecian people right? You have to go through his grotto to get to Burmecia, and the Burmecian people hold him as their protector, right? I totally forgot about him. Please enlighten me. I totally forgot. Yes, I know! I need to play it again soon.

He's this kind of big water Lizard thing. He goes loopy due to the Black Mages. Actually, it's probably more accurate to refer to Gizamaluke as an "it" rather than a "he", since it doesn't exhibit any signs of sentient behaviour.

I do remember who he is, but not what he is in the FFIX world. Protector or God for the Burmecian people? Perhaps a leader, since they refer to "him" as "master".

I think he's just the guardian of the passageway through the mountains. 'Master' is probably used as a sign of respect. The Burmecians already have their King, so I don't think Gizamaluke is their god or leader.
