The new translation...

Actually, I personally don't think this game needs a new translation, because the weird lines in the original are pretty charming. :D
However, what did you think of the new translation?
I always though it bad to leave out the famous line "Son of a submariner!", and replace it with the incredibly boring "Son of a bitch!" :mad:

"Son of a submariner!"
"He could be my friend, if he weren't my enemy."
"'Wait!', he says; do I look like a waiter?"
"H-how dare you?! You licentious howler!"
"You born on a farm, son?"
"W-wait! I'm a GENERAL, not some opera floozy!"

Enough said.

I want a new script for the change of pace. I've read the old one enough times where I don't bother to read it any more. I just skip it and play.

They should give it the FFIV Advance treatment. A true translation, except for the fan favorites (Like the ones mentioned, much like they kept the infamous "Spoony Bard" comment.)

The problem I see with that is that there are so many of those in the localization, that it'd be hard to do away with so many of them. However, I'd go along with whatever they do.

Of course, some of the NPCs really need to be straightened up. Maybe it's just me, but some of them sounded so....meh.

Yeah it's gonna be a scirpt by the person who did Star Ocean:Till the end of time.

Look, I'm only going to believe a statement like that if you provide proof. You have to provide proof if you're going to claim something like that.
