If square enix makes a future final fantasy a action rpg (i think ff13 might be one) do you think you would prefer it over the trditional turn based style.
its not the time period that matters. FF7 and FF8 were futuristic. its mainly the storyline. i like medieval style and futuristic. FF13 looks more futuristic but with FF you have to be open minded and welcome change.
He was talking about the battle systems.
An action RPG style battle system would be better than the Turn-Based systems of previous FF games, because battles would then proceed faster and would seem more realistic.
I like the turn-based system because I grew up with it, but, I guess the action RPG system couldn't hurt. After all, it wasn't bad in the Kingdom Hearts games.
I dont like action RPGs much. I cant think and plan moves ahead.
If SE does the system well, an action RPG battle system could be very fun. Final Fantasy X-2 was almost like that, though it was still ATB. I like a lot how Seiken Densetsu 3 and Kingdom Hearts did their real-time battles, so that kind of style may be nice. :)
I like ATB more. KH Battle System is fine but I totally hate FFXII battle system. When I'm healing my character.....all of sudden, an enemy attack my party and GAME OVER pop-out.

Isnt the KHII crew supposed to be doing one of the FFXIII games (and yes one or more of them is supposed to be an action game)? If the batte system is like KH/KHII then I will be more than happy about it. Though personally I'd prefer a ormal turn-based RPG, an action game lets you feel like your're a character rather than a veiwer. I'd still prefer a turn-based RPG though.
FFXIII using a variant of the ATB system, so it isn't really an action RPG...well, not that we know of yet, at any rate.
What, you mean like Tales/tri-Ace games? Sure, why not.
