I think VIII's was the least repetitive of all of those. (I loved the Dear Friends concert version.)
Still don't know why III got knocked out, but meh.
Because it had the least votes (if you remember so did 6). I eliminated all the songs with the least votes, for expediency.
I voted Don't Be Afraid.

Don't Be Afraid isn't good for battles.
I like it, just not there.
IX is pretty cool, but it just makes me remember the anticipation when loading BATTLE after BATTLE.
I like X the best.
