Dude, Mega Man has the most incredible sequelitis any series has ever had. I think the most recent one was Mega Man X SEVEN on the PS2.

Its all about Rockman Dash, the rest arent as good Dx
I like Megaman, but the newer ones are like... yuck. :mad2:

And yes, Megaman rocks.
Megaman has been whored out more than most any other game character. It's degraded itself into horrible repitition. There are six freaking Battle Network games, dammit! They sucked after three and the third was barely tolerable. The original Megaman was good but I haven't seen a real new one since Megaman 8 (which was good) and Megaman X series last good game was Megaman X3, X4 and up were sucky (namely X7). I miss the old MMX, MMX1-3. Megaman needs some rest, and some innovation and seeing the original Megaman character in a new, refreshed game would be great.
Megaman Legends ftw.
I have not paid any attention to Mega Man X in a looog time. The original X is still my personal favorite. I've always enjoyed the original Megaman more. It had better supporting characters and overall presentation imo.
While I am unsure as to whether it is counted as an official sequel or not, the excellent, albeit extremely difficult Rockman & Forte was the last Megaman game created (for the Super Famicon.) It was dubbed as "Megaman 8.5" by many. I still don't understand why the original Megaman series hasn't seen a new game in almost 10 years though. There is even an in-joke about it in the fan translated version of Rockman and Forte.Quote:

X 4 was actually really good, but after that, it... slipped.
i never played mega man X7 but the mega man series cant end until zero is dead. play X3 and youll find that out. but i dont know did zero die?
He was shut down, but that idiot Ciel decided she wanted a new Megaman game, so she revives Zero in Megaman Zero.Quote:

Battle Network sells extremely well so that's not ending anytime soon, and I still rather enjoy the games even if they're not that great, it's still fun to strategize. My favorite GBA games are Fire Emblem and Golden Sun, and MMBN has that area of strategy that I enjoy, so I enjoy the games.
Though the best Megaman games ever were X1,2,3 by far.
