Close...but not quite. This 'info' was released today. I figure this is big/good/official enough to warrant its own short-lived topic instead of being lost as a single post in another thread.
It isn't 'announced', but heavily hinted at by Nintendo themselves.
That is from an entirely different article meant to state the fact that the release-date hasn't been announced yet to everyone claiming they know, and that the release-date will be announced in September. :pQuote:

November 27 is after Black Frida, so it's out of the possibilities. November 20 is after the launch of the PS3, so that's out, too. That leaves us with October 2. "
So Will The Wii Be Released On October 2nd? The release date seems to be too early according to some people, but since the wii is already in production, it is possible that Nintendo plans to get a headstart on the PS3.
