im in the underworld

Can you move freely between the under and overworld in an airship? I don't think that you can help Yang until you can fly back to Fabul from the Sylph Cave.

I think you have to wait until you can get back to the overworld to finish the Sylph Cave then.

Trap Doors give the best experience at that point in the game. Have Kain Jump, Cecil and Edge attack, Rydia cast Bio.
