I cannot defeat Ruby nor Emerald Weapon and it is most distressing!

I just can't beat emerald nor ruby weapon and I'm at level 99, I need help:( , any stratagys.

Try buying some materia for starters

Do you have the mime materia?With it and Barret or Clouds limit break you´ll beat it in about 2 minutes...

KotR = HP Absorb, Mime, W-Summon. That's about all you need for a simple win.

That's only for Emerald WEAPON beause Ruby counters KOTR with ultima. Use Hades with W-Summon and KOTR and you won't even be touched. At least that's how it happened for me.

Yea, Ruby will need paralysing first, either with Dazers or Hades. If you've got a Mystile equipped you should be able to avoid Ultima anyway.

For me, at least, the counter attacks didn't matter, because Ultima didn't reduce my health down to 0, and HP Absorb from KotR gave back more HP than Ultima took away.

Also I changed the thread title because empirical evidence links all caps to causing brain damage.

okay just wondering, where is the mime materia, i never found it, and i have a pretty good selection of materia (like double cut and wsummon and w magic)

It's in a materia cave on the east side of the Wutai continent. You need a Green, Black or Gold chocobo to reach it

To be completey honest, I used some sort of strategy found on gamefaqs.com or a similar website. Check around the net, and I'm sure you'll find the means to beat them both.

also use, Final Attack Materia equiped to Phoenix. that way when you die, you use one last attack, Phoenix, and you get to come back alive!!:D But make sure you have master them or you will be limited to how many times you can do it. :)

Get W-Summon (64,000 BP), obtain and learn Omnislash (51,200 BP [disc 1], 32,000 BP [disc 2 and 3]), and defeat Ultima WEAPON, then complete the Special Battle offered to you at the Battle Square.
