Squids or Octopi

Which would you rather have as a pet? A squid or an Octopus?

I for one am a huge squid fan.

You cant have a Krakken thats like cheating, man.

A Krakken is just a giant squid. It's a German word, remember the old sea legends o giant squids and sea monsters attacking ships? Well those were called Krakken, giant squid.

I would want both so that i could make them battle eachother but they would have to giant and powerful with deathrays!

It is, to be honest, a very difficult question to answer. The two have strong similarities, yet critical differences. I feel I am compelled to respond with 'Squid', however, as they have two tentacles more, have a better shape (Which is, incidentally, why Rye prefers squid, although she'll go for anything with tentacles.), and are possibly slightly more intelligent.

Almost all cephalopods, however, are deserving of our utmost respect and reverence. They are beautiful, masterful creatures, and are the rightful masters of the oceans of Earth. I would go so far as to say we should elect a Cephalopod of some description Overlord of Humankind.

That would be pretty cool. I'd choose squids because Octopuses are over-rated. The footage of giant squids last year from the coast of japan was very cool.

Come on, The Krakken (Giant Squid) from Pirates 2 ate Jack Sparrow/Johny Depp alive, how much cooler does it need to be to get the respect the squid race deserves?
