I can make signatures using adobe photoshop, right? Is that the same as adobe illustrator? If it's not, can I still use it to create a sig? And are there any other ways I can make my own sig without using photoshops? I'd really appreciate it if there's anyone out there who can help me with this. :D
use GIMP. It's free and similar to photoshop. Adobe Illustrator is for making vector graphics.

gimp is a graphics editor. very similar to photoshop. has many of the photoshop features www.gimp.org

I've visited the gimp site. There are to many choices. would you recommend a better one. by the way, are you sure it's totally free? 'cause I don't wanna get in trouble with the price sooner or later..

If you really wanted to, you could make a signature with MSPaint. It wouldn't come out very well, but it's possible.
