It has been covered before. And it's not true.
It's funny how as soon as the Elder gets there, he Softs the hell out of them.
The Super Soft was in FFIX to cure (bah, what was his name...) Blank (!) stone status he got in the evil forest. It never existed in FFIV.

No. You can try to use normal Softs (Golden Needles) on the twins, but it just causes the game to inform you that their petrification can't be undone since they brought it about of their own free will.
