Often you can simply pay a fee to use a character or icon for you business needs as long as rights are disclosed by the origional owner of the intelectual property. My buddies dad paid 5K a month to use betty boop on his resteraunt, for example.

It also looks fake.

i don't think it's odd that they'd use this kind of marketing...to uneducated or uninformed people, CANADIAN water would seem cleaner, clearer....but to wash your car or boat or the side of your dirty shed? who would even care if that were true, which it isn't?

Using Canadian water supports the Canadian economy. I prefer to eat at restaurants that only use Canadian beef, for example. Support our farmers. Eat a Canuck Cow. :P
