The other chocobo nuts

I know most of you know that the carob nuts and the zeio nuts are the only chocobo nuts needed to get a gold chocobo but what i'd like to know is what are the other nuts for or are they just there

I would believe they're just there to make those who are playing the game for the first time, waste their time and money trying to breed a gold chocobo with the wrong nuts. It's to make the chocobo quest more difficult, but fails horribly, since everyone has a friend that tells them or they go get a walkthrough, or go onto a forum.

right but think about how many people think they for getting all the chocobos seen in the game

There isn't a wrong nut as such. You can use any sort of nut to breed, but Carob and Zeio have the highest success rate. They also offer the best chance of the offspring's racing abilities being higher than the parents'.
