Hi.
How do i remove the close buttons on each tab in Firefox 2.0? I don't like them, middle-click does the exact same anyway.

Hi.

I don't think you can through normal means. You might be able to with the new version of TabMix Plus which was just released.
Go to about:config, change browser.tabs.closeButtons to 2 to remove all close buttons. Or change it to 3 to get the single close button back on the right. Try other values too.
Worked, and it didn't even need a restart ;o.
Thanks, Unne.
You're lying. There is no way. I'm never wrong. :P
Yes, of course. Now everybody go back to waiting for your tabmix extension :p.
That was like the second thing I did to firefox2.
I want them to fix my tab behaviors-- previously, I could have external links opening in new windows and internal ones in new tabs, AND NOW IT"S ALL OR NOTHING BUT I WANT BOTH.
Can't you still set that with the TabBrowser plugin in Firefox 2? I can't remember since I only use FF2 at work and not on my laptop, since the pop-up blocking is a bit too aggressive at the moment for here :p
