How did they shoot him?

Ok, maybe i am a complete idiot but when Yazoo or something like that shoot cloud with that rifle thingy, Didnt cloud cut it with his sword when he cut the guantlet deal and the bike in the tunnel?

Didnt he get shot in the face early in the movie too and NOTHING happened except his glasses got broke?

As Kadaj reformed, Souba in hand when Sephy left, so, they too, reformed, with their Velvet Nightmares.

Loz had another Velvet Nightmare on him as well. Cloud destroyed Yazoo's one, but Loz still has his. And Loz wasn't holding his weapon at the end.
