Apogee
If you were born in 1990-1992, these things should be the good old days for you.
Heres a list of Apogee games that were out around the time I was playing them:
Commander Keen
Crystal Caves
Duke Nukem 1 and 2
Hocus Pocus
Math Rescue and Word Rescue
Monster Bash
Mystic Towers
Raptor
Secret Agent
Wolfenstein 3D (id software AND apogee had something to do with this.)
Alien Carnage/Halloween Harry
These games are all great. I've played them all, and they are very nostalgic and enjoyable. Most are platform side scrollers. My personal favorites are:
Commander Keen
Mystic Towers
Duke Nukem 1 and 2
Monster Bash
Does anyone else remember these games? :D

I played a lot of those.

In fact, I've played all of those with the exception of Monster Bash and Mystic Towers.
Great games. :D I still have most of them (at least in shareware form) on CD somewhere as well as some of the midi files from the games.

I read that word and thought of Astromechanics, no not a game, the actual space stuff haha. Apogee being the furthest point during an earth centric orbit.
I think I've only played Wolfenstein out of those, but that was a good game back in the day

I remember in Doom II (I think) there were a couple of 'secret levels' that were homages to Wolfenstein. At the end of the levels (I think there were two) you ran into Commander Keen.

I liked Commander Keen. Beat it about ten times. Unfortunately I don't have the game anymore...

Oh, I used to play Commander Keen a lot when I was about 8. The good old days.
