Am I the only one that knows Computer Science on this website?

I was just wondering because it is an excellent hobby...And it makes you feel nerdy *puts on glasses*!!!!!!

Cool, I used to be interested in computer tech's and was average at it. but not anymore that was a while back, no long ago

Computer engineering > Computer science

Computer engineers can program quite well too and actually make the machines computer scientists need. :mwahaha:

I know that it exists and I could probably get by on a very limited basis, yes. But once you branch out into the more technical factors, I would probably have a more difficult time.

I know computer science and I'm going for computer engineering.

I am a CS guy. It's an excellent career as well as hobby.

Is anyone here COOL enough to tell me what this does? Someone better be, took me a half hour to write.

I know I've said this before, but a computer scientist is going to be a better programmer just because he spends all of his time devoted to it. There's plenty of crossover with engineering but engineers I've met have not been programmers, any more than I am an engineer. The guy who designs hammers isn't necessarily the guy you'd hire to build your house for you, and vice versa.

My husband is a computer science major. He'll have his BS in a year.
