You wouldn't want the USB gnomes to come and take you away.
I don't think you can simply delete it. There's actually software that mounts a small, read-only partition as an emulated CD drive once you plug the USB drive in. You can always hold shift down when plugging it in though and that will stop the autoplay and the U3 software from loading.
There's always a soldering iron.
Scott and Steiny both deleted it off of theirs with no problems.
I've thought about doing it to mine, but it doesn't bug me all that much.

I don't know what your talking about.
Not really sure what u3 is... if you're talking about USB Thumb/Flash drives.... mine didn't seem to come with any software that I've seen.
