TRANSFORMERS MOVIE!!!!!

IS ANYONE OUT THERE AS HAPPY AS I AM ABOUT THE TRANSFORMERS MOVIE? I'VE LOVED TRANSFORMERS SINCE I WAS LITTLE AND NOW THAT A LIVE ACTION MOVIE IS BEING RELEASED I CAN'T WAIT TO GO SEE IT! A LARGE GROUP OF FRIENDS AND I ARE ALREADY TRYING TO GET AHOLD OF TICKETS FOR THE DAY IT COMES OUT. Yes, I'm very looking forward to this movie. I am a bit worried that they are going to butcher it though :( But I'll take that risk

YES THIS COULD VERY WELL BE TRUE BUT........I SAW THE TEASER AND IT LOOKED VERY GOOD SO, I DON'T KNOW.

I've hated everything they've done to Transformers since the first movie was made so who knows how this one will go. I think its a really cool idea but I want orignial looking ones not the new crappy Transformers.

Looking at the new models and everything else, I think this movie will blow. :( They're going to gut the Transformers.

Yeah, I don't have high-hopes for this at all.

I'm reserving my judgement for when it actually comes out, but I do have a couple thoughts.

They've taken it a very different direction than any of the animated series. In the animated series, we always had human view points, but they weren't the primary points of view. In choosing to make the film from our perspective, it really changes the dynamic of the entire thing.

Secondly, it seems they've chosen to go more with a scifi / horror tangent as opposed to simply giant transforming robots. At first glance, this was pretty weird, but I got to thinking about it. The elements to take Transformers into a more horror-oriented direction have always been there. Seriously, the Quintessons are quite sufficient to confirm a more horror oriented style of story. Finally... good god they better not screw this up... There's the business of which story we're basing the whole thing off of. If it's truly the original Transformers, and they make Optimis Prime the character he was in the 80's, I'd almost like to see them screw it up. If they take a page from ANY of the anime series that were done in the 90's and 00's, it will blow. Now, mind you, I mean it will blow for me, and the reason being is that Optimis Prime circa 1985 is my one childhood larger than life hero. Everything the Japanese did with Transformers marred the image of Optimis Prime.

So yeah, I'm excited, and I will be there when it opens up. I'm also worried, but I'm going to reserve making a decision on it until I see it. No point in it being dead before it even gets here.

I have some bad news for you. It is probably going to be based off the original to some extent and Prime's original Voice actor(Peter C.) will be providing the voice work.

I have no real hope for this movie. Even less since capital letters man made this thread with nothing but capital letters.

Originally it was thought that they were going to make them come from Mars. Now that that's debunked, I feel a lot better.

It seems the plot (SPOILER)revolves around the Matrix, and I'd imagine, since most G1 fans tend to ignore the way Beast Wars evolved G1 ideas, just focus on the physical object instead of its role as the Transformer afterlife as shown in Beast Wars and Beast Machines.

I'm still not all that excited about it, but I will definitely see it.

Will Optimus Prime still be Jewish? :confused:

and yes im very excited about this movie it was my favorite show as a kid and my brother has the first movie and we watch it all the time. i use to have hundreds of the toys too. i even have the songs from the movie on ym computer. i remember when i saw the first trailer for the movie i almost jumped out of my seat.

Oh god no, they're not making this a movie, no!

I'm looking forward to this movie because I'm a Transformers fan from way back but I'm not overly happy with the way they look, especially Megatron.
