Well, it was fun while it lasted. ;_;
It died just before I joined.
I think the server toys with us; coming back right as we tried to replace it. Future reference, try to replace it earlier, to make it jealous and return earlier.
For the record, the usual server is irc://irc.eyesonff.com/ ports 6667 6669 and 7000 in channel #eoff
Don't forget port 6697 for SSL-enabled/encrypted connections :p
