I was surprised by how quickly the end came rushing up. Like once you get to the Landsmeet it's time for EXCITEMENT and then wait what it's over
I guess there's always part 2 and 3!
There are also the DLCs and expansions for Origins. Awakenings is a good 20 hours or so if you go through and do all the sidequests and stuff.
Awakening was way shorter than that for me, but yes there is always games 2 and 3. I was really fired up for #2 by the time I finished #1.
Depending on how slow you play (I play really slowly), Awakening can be half a game. It was for me. I might be exaggerating slightly, but it was a very long DLC.
Not a bad one, too.

Oh hell yes the Landsmeet, one of my favorite parts of Origins.
Also, everything dwarves in the Dragon Age series is either a snoozefest or incredibly fascinating there's no in between and it's all Very Important.

That's how it worked out in my latest playthrough too. (With Alistair and Anora I mean.)
Who's your party for fighting the archdemon?
Myself, Leliana, Alistair, and Wynne. I have the most money and everything invested in them so they're the best I have. My A Team, as it were.
I think I know the issue. I get the dragon down to 50% HP like... very quickly, and then it summons all of these Darkspawn, right? Well I thought I HAD to defeat all of the darkspawn before I could fight the dragon again and it seems that is not so. And gosh are there a lot of darkspawn. So Imma try again while mostly focusing on the archdemon instead of the minions

It was rough when the darkspawn first started showing up but I don't know what happened, at one point they left me alone with the Ballista and I could just shoot at the archdemon from a distance while he did nothing until I won.
The ending was nice, catching me up on how everything went. I had fun and sometime down the line I will replay it differently. Also I will get II at some point

Are you going to play the DLC? Awakenings is pretty much a direct sequel (although with mostly new party members). Darkspawn Chroncles lets you play through bits of the game AS A DARKSPAWN and you get to kill all the heroes (which made me feel like a monster, honestly, haha.)
I think my favorite DLC was Witch Hunt even though it was far, far too short. I loved the party members I got in that one.
And since you like Leliana you will probably like Leliana's Song! :jess:
