incorrect. its +30 amethyst while casting. do you know that an eidolons power is increased if you have more gemstones? e.g. bahamut with 5 garnets would be stronger if he had 50. and atomos seems as hes a gravity based summon does an extra % damage for each amethyst.

Atomos' Attack Power is 30 + # of Amethysts. The damage formula for the full animation is
Damage = [(Atk Pwr * MaxHp) / 100]
The damage formula for the short animation is
Damage = [({(Atk Pwr * MaxHp) / 100} * 2) / 3]
Say you have 70 Amethysts and the enemy has 100 HP. The full animation would deal 100 damage and the short would deal 66.666... damage.
Now, 66.666... * 1.5 is 100. Therefore the answer is D, as I said.
The number of Amethysts used doesn't change. Credit to SoftReset for the formulas.
