found shortly after a friend goes ker-plunk
but who wants this treasure? its just a piece of junk...
Marlene's pendant?
nope
The White Materia?
Marlene's pendant was handed over, the White Materia on the other hand goes in to the water before it's owner does.
Does kur-plunk relate to drowning in something?
Cid's mop?
The White Materia seems like the most obvious answer here.
nothing listed
Is it the fortune given to you by Cait Sith? I believe he makes ker-plunk noises or something.
Ancients Key?
still none
hint: one of the answers given was chronologically very close to the true answer
Huge Materia?
nope
Ah, perhaps that materia from the junk reactor. What was that again, Titan? It was the quake one, anyway.
Um.... materia in wutai?
Aerith's Knight = BINGO!
when Cloud & Co arrive at Gongaga and the destroyed reactor, Scarklet shows up wit Tseng and comments that the materia found inside the reactor is "junky." this is the Titan materia. grats to you
Don't look at the deep line,
Extreme danger will lurk there.
Search for the darkness,
where the music plays.
The Gi Cave?
The Underwater reactor?
the underwater key
crashed gelinka
Hypocactaur got it. I guess it was too simple.
No, it actually took me a minute, but then I realized the only music is the music box, so it must be the key.
Speak. Look. Speak. Gift.
Speak. Look. Speak. Gift.
all gone
perhaps too easy...
*mew*
the fort condor battles
nope
Sleeping Man?
nope
Key to the Ancients
nope
The man in that house near Golden saucer?
The man in Kalm with that you trade the desert rose and earth harp with?
something seems strange about the
"all gone"
for some reason I feel either yuffie is involved (first encounter) or huge materia (gift#1 neo, gift #2 master materia)
since the rules give 1 answer per post I'll stick with huge things :D
NOOOPE!
Any hints? I'm fresh out of ideas unfortunately.
hint....
.....
...
..
.
the goods are near
the path is clear to 3 o clock
it opens at 2
The hint seems to reference the clock in the... :bou::bou::bou::bou: I can't remember what the place is called. Temple of the Ancients! That's it.
Other than that, I've really got nothin' xD COME ON GUYS HELP A BRO OUT
Nope
maybe its disc number? like the bringing down of teh dome around the northern crater which opens in disc 2 but entered in disc 3
i actualy cant remember the accuracy of that statement though
it is disk number, but you aren't close
Magic Pot?
nope
Is it the excavation site in Bone Village?
More specifically, the Lunar Harp?
nope, getting very cold
The Map & Snowboard in Icicle village? :P
Just trying to keep the thread alive.
Talking to the old man in Rocket Town a few times, and looking at the rocket with him, to get a Yoshiyuki?
bingo, you can get two things from him then game over
I'm no good at writing riddles, does someone else want to take over?
...can't you get the Yoshiyuki on disk 1?
yes you can(before or after), the disk hint was regarding the spear thing.
I'll snag this one:
When it all began there were many of our kind,
But now our numbers have dwindled to near extinction.
We alone hold the key to the final leg of your journey,
Which will take you farther than any have ever dared.
Ancients?
those black mage things?
Nope to both.
Nanaki's people?
Shinra?
WEAPONs?
Still nothing.
Sephiroth clones?
bugenhagen's people?
Chocobo bill?
White Chocobo?
There's a white chocobo?
White Materia?
The WEAPONs?
I should clarify that BG's answer is more of a hint. It has a lot to do with the last two lines.
Shin-Ra? that's where you get the highwind and it take you everywhere
Is it getting the last summon with the gold chocobo (KOTR)?
Goblins? In FF1 they were plentiful, while in FF7 they can only be found on that one island. You can steal the Zeio nut from them, with the help of which you can breed green/blue chocobos.
Goblins it is!
Your go.
:sing: See the little Goblin
See his little feet
And his little nosey-wose
Isn't the Goblin sweet?
I'll pass up my turn.
I've got one.
many types, one continent, one person.
many beasts, one area, forever.
satan's angel on the ground
Sephiroth?
no
hint: you fight this
Godo?
no
I immediately thought of Devil Ride because it's sort of a motorcycle.
I did too, but I wasn't sure how it fit the rest of the riddle.
I'm guessing Diablo.
Helletic Hojo?
many types, one continent, one person.
I'm going to guess it is a monster that is humanoid in form... I don't know which one would work... The second line makes me think the answer is around Midgar.
many beasts, one area, forever.
A monster that you can fight in this one location - for the entirety of the game {forever}.
satan's angel on the ground
This strikes my as Midgar Zolom (Spelling?).
Is it the Death Dealer?
You said the Devil Ride was close, but I'm not sure if you meant geographically. The northern crater is a ways from Midgar, but Death Dealer seems to fit the last line fairly well.
nope. I meant you were close and thinking the right way
In that case, what about the Hell Rider?
many types, one continent, one person. - one hell rider rides many types of enemies in one continent
many beasts, one area, forever.- many enemy types, near junon, the whole game
satan's angel on the ground- they are from hell.
DING DING DING!
That was good riddle.
Thank you
This one should be pretty quick:
Brothers.
They don't get along.
No touching.
That was a really good riddle HC, nicely done.
I believe the Brothers you speak of are enemies that you fight in the Shinra Mansion basement. I can't give you any more specifics without looking it up, but they're white and creepy. :p
the two headed dragon?
The boss in the Shinra Mansion Safe?
I figured Yin-Yang and Schizo would come up, but I forgot about the Lost Number; that's almost a better answer for the riddle than what I came up with.
Either way, the riddle is still unsolved.
that guy and the horse in northern crater
Nope.
Just to clearify... is the answer two major characters?
Reno and Rude? I have no idea why my mind keeps going back to them.
Not Reno and Rude, and it has nothing to do with the main characters.
Magic Pot, I assume they dont get along cause both want your elixirs for themselves and quite often show up in groups of 2, the no touching is obvious, dont touch them till you give em an elixir.
Still no, but your reasoning is getting closer.
oh oh oh! Death Dealers!
Brothers. = they come in groups of 2
They don't get along. = Death Sentance can hit one of them so obviously they don't get along ^^
No touching. = I think (though I am not sure) that they counter with Roulette if you attack them... am I going out on a limb here?
If brothers don't get along, why would they hang out together? ;)
Does it relate to the Black Materia?
Not at all.
It it the bodybuilders in the Wall Market gym? Their leader is called Big Bro.
The enemy 2-Faced? It has (duh) two faces - brothers. They're of very different nature (they don't get along), but they're stuck together, so there's that. And attacking them might lead to getting cured, but it may also lead to it self-destructing on you, so if you want to play safe: no touching! You also don't get EXP and stuff if either happens.
ruby and emerald?
Could be palette swapped enemies then.
Bomb and Grenade?
Tonberry and Master Tonberry?
The frog enemies?
That was to be my next guess. :D
the lizard things that turn you to stone, there is a red one and a grey one
Getting closer.
A couple more hints:
1. They are easily missed.
2. The answer has already come up four times since I posted the riddle, but no one's said it yet.
is it the frog .... I think its name is touch me? and there is two colors of it
Nope.
Five times.
Toxic frog and Touch me.
color
Palette swapping in general?
Six times.
I'll re-post with the hint:
Brothers.
They don't get along.
No touching.
Hint: They're easily missed
The only other hint I can give is the Touch Me is closest to the answer; it's almost identical in fact, except the answer isn't a frog.
Is it turning the party members into frogs?
the party as frogs
Still nothing. It has nothing to do with frogs though, they've just got a lot in common.
Seven times.
Sahagin and Desert Sahagin? They can guard against physical attacks and look amphibian.
On a side note is it okay if I close this thread and start a new riddle thread after this riddle is solved? It's getting unweildy to navigate.
only if you give it a sweet title. FF7 Hypo riddles
FF7 riddles V ZERO
something good
Getting closer still; it seems you've got the right idea about them being easily missed. Stick to enemies in that general area and you'll have it.
Eight times.
Gagighadi and Under Lizard?
Cactuar and Cactuer? The "being brought up" being in Hypoallergenic Cactuar's name :p
Rantz! I was just going to say that exact thing.... Seeing as how we already guessed bombs.
Ironic considering who made that guess. :greenie:
omg. u r smrt
Looks like Ranzien solved it.
New riddle thread is here.
